The company modernised the lighting in its production halls with doublepower!! luminaires of the SKY and DAY types, achieving nearly 80% energy savings and a return on investment within 1.6 years.

NYMWAG CS a.s. is a leading manufacturer of high-quality freight railcars. The company specialises in the production of tank, container, and hopper wagons built on its own bogies, meeting the strictest technical standards of the European market. Project implementation
Between May and October 2024, we carried out a complete lighting modernisation in the production halls of NYMWAG CS covering an area of approximately 40,000 m² with installation heights ranging from 10–12 metres.
Instead of the original 2,600 discharge lamps, 1,500 modern LED luminaires of the SKY and DAY types were installed, significantly optimising the operation of the entire lighting system.

Project results:
- Reduction in annual energy consumption from 5.8 GWh to 1.14 GWh
- Almost 4.5 GWh/year savings (~80%) thanks to smart control (daylight regulation, time schedules)
- Return on investment: 1.6 years
Doublepower DAY
Interesting fact: Despite extensive intervention in the internal infrastructure – including complete replacement of cabling and lighting switchboards – the installation was carried out with minimal disruption to the customer's production, which operates continuously.
