The new lighting provided Prakab employees with comfort and energy savings.
In 2023, we carried out an extensive lighting modernization for Prakab – Pražská kabelovna, s.r.o., a traditional Czech cable manufacturer with a history dating back to 1921. The goal was to improve energy efficiency in production areas covering 15,175 m² while significantly enhancing the lighting conditions for employees.

aBOUT THE COMPANY
Prakab, also known as Pražská kabelovna, is one of the leading Czech manufacturers of installation, power, control, signaling, and communication cables, with its own in-house development. Reliability, safety, quality, and innovation form the foundation on which the company builds both its product and operational standards.
Implementation
In the central production hall, 513 SKY and DAY luminaires were installed, with mounting heights ranging from 7 to 13.5 meters. The project also included a modern intelligent control system with visualization and remote access, allowing full management of the lighting from anywhere.
Results
- Power reduction: from 169 kW to 46 kW
- Annual energy consumption: before 0.99 GWh → after 0.41 GWh
