How does it work

On the example of a complex reconstruction of industrial lighting systems, we will explain to you exactly how the project is proceeding. You will discover how much work we will do for you, and that even the installation itself is no earthquake.

Introductory meeting with businessmen

First, you will encounter our sales representatives, to whom you will explain your needs and aspirations. You can be assured that they will listen carefully and try to chart the scope of your plans as well as the specifics of your operations. They will be happy if you will show them the space designed for the reconstruction, at least briefly. Naturally, they will introduce you to the possibilities and modes of operations of the company doublepower (in case you have not absorbed enough information from this website). Rest assured, they will not impose on you any instant solutions.

Technicians will map the details

The visit of our technician or technicians (depending on the size of operations and scope of the solution) follows. Businessmen equipped them with the idea about the objectives and scope of your project. Now, they will attempt to deepen and consolidate the detailed knowledge of the building layout and organizational needs of the operation. While doing so, they will consider your wishes and ideas, and they will answer your questions.

Technicians draw information from construction documentation and, if not available, they acquire necessary information on the site. They survey, draw and record data on the space dimensions, technology deployment and requirements for the level of lighting. Also, they will map work activities and luminaires placement limitations. Furthermore, they will obtain the information about the current lighting system and electrical system, and they will assess the possibility to achieve additional savings by implementing automated control lighting system.

Devising the lighting-technical calculation

The collected documentation serves as the basis for devising of lighting-technical calculation. Usually, we propose several versions before we reach the optimal mixture of energy efficiency, lighting levels and other required parameters. In the lighting-technical proposal, you will find various information on the types, number and placement of luminaires, system’s wattage, attained illumination levels and uniformity, glare levels and other factors that affect the overall added value and reconstruction economics.

Based on the lighting-technical design, the engineering department processes the installation cost estimate and completes it with a detailed description of the installation process, including a possible automated lighting control system.

Offer submission

We present you with a comprehensive offer that includes lighting-technical proposal, the total cost of the work, including all necessary material and work, and a description of the implementation, in other words the description of the lighting system’s functioning. Then, you all the information needed to make an educated assessment.

A preparation of implementation project

Should you accept the offer, we will start with the preparation of the implementation project. In order to do so, usually few more consultations with your technical staff are necessary. We plan the installation in a way, so that it does not impair the operations in the space that is being renovated.

The implementation process plan is devised in a special application for project management. We assign clear roles and responsibilities, so that the individual steps of project realization follow each other without any delay in the timetable and competency ambiguities. You will be introduced to our staff that will be available to you throughout the realization: main administrator of the assignment, chief designer and chief installation technician.

The installation

Before the installation, a pre-installation meeting (PIM) is held. The installation will begin as scheduled, however, should there be any unexpected changes (e.g. the hall will not be available due to important assignment to your company), your operational requirements take precedent. We are accustomed to responding flexibly and to adapt our procedures.

Installation verification

After completing the installation, agreed tests will be carried out. Usually, this includes the measurements of wattage, illumination levels, verification of the declared parameters and overall evaluation of the work.

In operation

The assignment does not end with the handover. We want to make sure that everything runs smoothly and our luminaires do not cause slightest trouble. For many of our customers, we monitor and evaluate long-term economic benefits of the installation and we monitor the technical condition of the system. Using automated control systems radically expands the possibility of monitoring and the resulting benefits, yet even without their implementations we are able to provide luminaires operations with virtually 0 % failure rate.

Of course, we will be happy if your satisfaction with doublepower solution will inspire you to contact us sometime in the future with further renovations or constructions. We consider ourselves to be runners on long tracks.
