Warehouse lighting

The requirements for luminaires’ endurance may be lower in warehouses than in heavy industrial production. Nevertheless, the investor’s demand for low operating costs, long-term effectivity and excellent lighting parameters remains the same. Moreover, lower endurance requirements may not be applicable in case of freezers or cold warehouses.

Luminaries’ light distribution characteristics are thus fine-tuned for their specific application. There are different parameters required for warehouses with open areas or with rack aisles, in which it is important not only to illuminate the floor, but also the products on shelving units. The light is therefore directed exactly where it is needed, thereby we achieve maximum luminous flux efficiency and operation’s economy.

Even in logistics operations, there is a great application of intelligent light control systems. Automated lighting control systems adjust lighting depending on workers’ movement, work plan, daylight levels, pre-defined day schedules and similar. Automated lighting control systems may be connected to other technologies’ control systems, for example skylights or driveways. While drafting the proposal, we of course observe security aspects: for example, a truck driver will not drive from daylight into darkness, nor he will be blinded by inappropriately directed lighting fixture.

Doublepower luminaires deliver energy savings of up to 85 % in comparison with older lighting fixtures, and up to 40 % in comparison with modern ones. Since in logistics operations lighting costs may make up to 70 % (!) of the total costs for electric energy, such savings are crucial when lowering operational costs. Further savings stem from the fact, that maintenance costs of doublepower luminaires are minimal or nonexistent.

We offer luminaries that are highly modular. When an operation layout of a certain logistic center is significantly changed (for example there is a new tenant with different high racks orientation and dimensions), doublepower lighting system can be easily adjusted to these new conditions. It is not necessary to change the whole luminaries, the lighting characteristics can be changed by changing only the optic part of the luminaire or even only the optic itself.
